Regrets

Regret is a feeling that’s very common to have when you feel anxious about a decision you’re about to make that can either change your life for the better or worse. The outcome of your decision will only be known once you’ve finally made a choice. You often wonder to yourself if that decision was worth making, so it makes you doubtful. This sense of doubt would eventually lead you to make a decision that you might regret. When an individual makes their final decision, they often think to themselves over and over again to know if that decision was the correct one. Once the decision is made, they can move on with their lives without any regrets. In life, everyone has made many decisions that they regretted because they never wanted to take the risk of trying something new therefore would bite them later on. One reason that it’ll bite them later on in life because they would linger in the past about why they didn’t take the risk nor give it a chance so they would let that decision eat them up inside and feeling like life would be better if they made that decision.

The biggest regret anyone can have is with their own words because saying stuff you don’t mean to a close friend, family, or even someone you don’t know can be the most painful. Those spoken words can’t be taken back because the damage of those words isn’t easy to forget. Once those words are spoken, you feel a sense of guilt and regret because deep down inside you didn’t mean the words you said. It’s even harder to come out with an apology because it takes time for a person to be the bigger person to apologize for their actions and it leaves a burden when it’s unresolved. An individual not being able to apologize for their actions and leaving it unresolved can be their downfall and biggest regret because that incident will haunt them forever. It will take time for that individual to move on from that incident because it’s constantly in their minds thinking about what he/she have done better to deescalate the conflict.

In conclusion, there’s nothing wrong with having regrets along the way because life isn’t about being perfect nor making the right or wrong decision since the outcomes are endless. A person once told me that “Living with regrets is better than living in fear” which I agree with this statement because living in fear won’t allow you to move on with your life. It’s better to move on from your past and looking forward to your present and future because what’s ahead of your journey is more important than your regrets in the past. The regrets in the past teach you what to do when you’re in that situation again because learning through your past experiences is important in life.

“Live your life in your own way, there's going to be many faults along the way but hey that's what makes life so much more interesting"

Pain

Everyone in this world goes through their own type of pain that no one can relate to because they have their own way to deal with pain. It’s known that people suffering the most are likely to hide it and focus on other people’s pain rather than their own pain. As they go through their own pain, they hope that one day their pain can finally be at ease with the help of others, unfortunately, it’ll be difficult because not many people are willing to do the same for that individual.

Pain is never avoidable because when you go on social media, there will always be news about something horrific that happens in your city, state, or even across the country. This type of news on social media leaves a person emotionally heartbroken and enraged because there are people who are heartless. Many people go through a lot of suffering when one of their family members passes away because they were the rock of the family and losing a family member is always the hardest. It’s a pain that won’t go away because it’s hard to be somewhere without seeing them; it feels like a place unknown to them.

The most important pain of them all is internal and external because everyone is constantly having a battle between the good and evil inside of their minds. In a quiet environment, people tend to have more negative thoughts because it’s easier to think about bad things than the good things in life. There’s always a clash between your positive and negative thoughts which can cause internal pain and their mental health all over the place. This type of pain can affect mentally because it’ll change how they feel, think, and the way they have interacted with others since their thoughts aren’t fully processed.

In conclusion, check up on your family, friends, or even a random stranger’s health because you may never know what they are going through and one simple checkup can make their day. One simple checkup can show a sign of relief and shows that there are people that care for them. It’s important to be there for them and try to understand their pain that’s flowing through their mind. Even if we don’t understand how they feel or the pain they went through, it’s better to know your presence is fully on them and nothing else. Pain is hard to go through alone, but that pain can be at ease if another individual is looking out for them.

Never let your pain break you down but let your pain make you stronger.

A Tale of two personalities

There are people that are strong that will support anyone at their roughest and darkest time without any hesitation. As much as they’re strong, there’s one flaw in them; it’s the lack of expression to show how they really feel in an intense situation that lands on their face. It shows a sign of weakness and tries anything to cover up their weakness and flaws by pretending to smile or pretending everything is fine. Deep down inside, it’s actually hurting them so much that they forget their way of life. This person wants to do anything in their power to make sure everyone he cares about is okay and happy, but life doesn’t go as planned. If making people feel comfortable and happy is the way he wants to live, why does it hurt so much and stresses him out when it shouldn’t? It’s easy to be strong about anything but it’s hard when your mind isn’t 100% there. There’s also a side of weakness that’s hard to show because making a mistake is like the whole world just frowns upon you. Just from one mistake, the whole world turns against you. It’s impossible to live in a world where people won’t judge us for voicing our opinions that happened on social media. When you’re able to state an opinion; they make it seem like it’s your fault. It’s like this one mistake defines our life and worth. People are very quick to say negative things because that’s the number one answer to everything in life. It’s hard to solve an issue or defend yourself if people aren’t willing to communicate with one another. “Communication is still lost in this world, as it’s waiting to be found.”

As time passes by I learned that I tend to care too much for anyone that's been a part of my journey. I’ll always try my best to keep them happy and comfort them from their problems and bad days. Although, I learned that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t because not everyone will be willing to trust you that easily, it takes time to build trust with each other. I want to learn to care for others but not as much without having to worry about them so much and losing sleep that sometimes stresses me out. It leaves me in a dark place as I keep overthinking what I could’ve done more to comfort them. I want to be there for them no matter what but I need to learn to be there for myself first before anyone else’s. Since my life is important just like anyone else’s.

2020

When I think of 2020, I think of a year with many hardships that can't be helped nor controlled. There's not a day go by where I don't think about that pain. But I've learned to move forward with my life, even if the pain is still there lingering around my mind. When good things happened to you, you finally start to think you're able to relax but that's never the case. Something will happen sooner or later. However, I am thankful for my friends that I made this year who've helped through the rough times earlier this year. I'm truly grateful to have them a part of my life and journey.
2020 has been one of the biggest roller coaster rides. Many people experienced; cancellation of major events, postponing of graduations, businesses being affected by the virus, and lives being taken away left to right. 2020 was supposed to be "our" year. A year where we feel good about ourselves, accomplish many of our goals, travel all around the world, and visit friends you haven't seen for a very long time. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. 2020 consists of painful and sad moments. The pain feels like it's never going to stop, like losing part of your soul. Many individuals have probably lost motivation to complete the goals that they've set earlier this year because of the virus and it's truly unfortunate for that motivation to be stripped away in a few months. In hindsight, however, this year wasn't all bad, it allowed us to bond with our families, friends online, and create stronger relationships. Whether it was through spending countless hours watching shows, playing video games, or walking outside. However, staying inside the house every day can be quite boring sometimes. Many people prefer to go out than staying at home doing the same thing over and over again. These types of people love to explore the world and interact with their friends in person because that's the kind of person they are.
In conclusion, 2020 may not be the best year for everyone so far, but it's a year where we come together and learn what's going on around the world by voicing our opinions on a conflict that has been an issue for centuries now.  It’s also a year where we are coming together by educating ourselves and fighting for what’s important. Never let your voices be ripped from you. Never let your hatred get the best of you nor have your hatred cloud your judgment. Never lose hope and always hold onto the light because once the light runs out, it's a struggle to come back from a loss. Yes, this year may not be perfect, but just hang in there and keep going.

2021 is going to be OURS.

  • YOU IS KIND
  • YOU IS SMART
  • YOU IS IMPORTANT

Let Go

If you ever felt like the world is ending, it's not ending, these are just obstacles that you're facing for a certain amount of period, and eventually, you'll face them head-on and succeed. These obstacles don't define your life nor does it end there. They are training you for the obstacles in the future that can be more challenging than the obstacles you face now. Your life is just starting. Never let these obstacles define your worth or achievements.
Let go of all the negative thoughts because it's always good to have a positive mindset about everything since one negative thinking can blind you from the picture.
Let go of all the emotions that've been built up and slowly release those emotions to someone you trust the most that will listen to your problems with an open ear and mind.
Let go of all the toxic people in your life because toxic people aren't worth the time or energy nor worth the stress. It's also good to have people in your life that genuinely care about you.
Let go of the saying "I'm not worth it' because you're definitely worth it and never feel like you aren't because there are many people that will say you are worth it. In life, we go through a lot of obstacles that can hurt us physically, mentally, and emotionally but we just have to move on from them and try to live our lives the way we want. Life doesn't always go as planned but that's the way of life and we can only do so much on our own. Even though life is hard at times, we can still rely on our friends because they are the best support system you can ask for and would have your back no matter what the situation is.

Truth 2.0

They say that the "truth would set you free," but does it really set you free? Something that you've been hiding from an individual for a long period of time and when you finally start telling the truth to that individual, it finally makes you relieved or free from it. You can finally start to breathe again because telling the truth to that individual has taken the weights off of your shoulders and being able to move on in life without feeling stressed out. However, in reality the truth doesn't always set you free because there's always a sense of guilt for not telling that individual what's going on right away. This would lead to an unwanted argument about why that person didn't tell them the truth in the beginning and will eventually lead up to a loss of friendship and a little bit of communication.

In my opinion, I believe that the telling the truth is always a good thing because when you tell the truth that you've been bottling up for so long, it can be a sense of relief and the pressure that was on you is no longer there and you can finally start to breathe again. It feels like you can finally start living again once you tell the truth because you're able to focus on yourself without hiding anything from others. Despite all the pros of telling the truth, there are also some cons in telling the truth which is that people deceive others on purpose to get out of something they don't want to do and they would say they enjoy doing it even though they really don't. Another con of telling the truth is that it's a possibility that your friend would talk to you less because they heard the truth from someone they trusted the most and would rather prefer hearing the truth from someone they didn't know. It has been programmed in our minds that we should always tell the truth because it's always the right thing to do even if the truth hurts. Although, sometimes telling the truth can backfire because the individual's feelings would be hurt which is a consequence of being honest and it's something that's out of your control. Rumors are spread quickly like a forest fire because a lot of individuals are mainly on social media and they are able to spread the rumor through different platforms without even thinking about who it affects the most. However, this has been part of a norm in this generation because spreading lies is a way to become famous even though it can hurt the person they're spreading rumors about. A lot of individuals to believe everything they read online because they love the entertainment of someone getting bullied or victimized, and many of these individuals are followers instead of being a leader since they would spread that rumor just like the rest of these individuals. Once the victim knows about the rumors being spread online, the victim would tell the truth to all the people in the world, but there's no hope of telling the truth because a lot of individuals in this world are fixated to one side fo a story without even knowing about the other side of the story. It's hopeless for people to tell the truth when their voice can't be heard because the majority of these individuals are fixated to one side of the story and they believe that this one side of a story is all the evidence. An individual who has a desire of learning the truth should be willing to learn and listen to both sides of the story before making a decision without feeling biased towards someone they know over someone they don't know. Even if they learn both sides of the story, it's a known fact that a friend would lean towards their friend more because of their friendship they have but sometimes you can't always rely on friendship to learn the truth. It's important to learn the other person's story before you make any rash decisions because the truth can slip away if you never gave that person a chance to talk or prove their innocence.

In conclusion, most people don't tell the truth because they're afraid of losing someone that's close to them and wouldn't know what to do in life without that person. Even the person you're closer to can also hide the truth from you in order to protect the friendship they've with you, but it hurts them in the long run. Another reason most people don't tell the truth because of their ego since they expect everything to go their way and they don't like the feeling of being wrong and have the mindset of being right even though they are wrong. They hold their pride more than anything in this world and can lose many friendships with that type of ego and personality. In life, it's always good to tell the truth because it'll definitely set you free from all the stress that has been built up and the weight of it can be off your shoulders, even though the truth can make the other person angry, just tell yourself that you finally told the truth when no one would.

Words

First, my inspiration to write this because I personally believed that words are powerful and can speak louder than action in some scenarios and I also believe that words can also stick with people that can be passed down from generation to generation while action can be a one-time thing that can vanish in thin air once it's completed. In society, they say our voice is powerful yet we're afraid to use our words to defend ourselves because of the thought of being made fun of or afraid of expressing how we feel about a certain topic. With words, you're able to express how you feel and be able to make an impact on someone's life but we can't make an impact if we stay behind people and let them do the talking for you. An individual should stand their ground and use their words to voice what they want to say with full confidence.

In life, there are many words that are being used and said but these words can sometimes show a different meaning just by turning one sentence into something that's cruel or unjust. It's frustrating that people in our society can manipulate these words can turn someone into a perpetrator while they play as a victim, which is unfair. It's unfair because these people who manipulate the meaning of the sentence can get away with it and can leave that person powerless and turning into a person he's not. Words can change a nice, kind-hearted person into a cold, bitter person just by a few words that were said about him/her. It can change the way they do certain things and cause them to treat others poorly because of those words that were said to that person. Why do we still live in a society where people still negatively bring each other down and use hurtful language when they don't know the life they're going through right now. Words are very powerful because they can stick to you like glue and those words can be remembered for a long period of time since those words have a deeper meaning behind it. However, even though words are powerful, people can use these words to deceive you because sometimes an individual is using their words to blind you from the truth and brainwashing you into thinking that he/she is a great person, but in reality they're manipulating how you think. It's definitely hard to use our words in certain situations because nowadays it seems that everyone is ready to fight one another because it seems that each individual is a threat due to the color of their skin and it has become programmed in their minds that communication is lost somewhere waiting for it to be found again. What has happened in our society that made it hard for individuals to use their words to communicate without involving fighting one another or causing unwanted violence that can be troublesome?
In conclusion, I believe that words speak louder than action in some scenarios because if a person that's important in your life is having a bad day, you can cheer them up by using words to make them feel better or you can use your words to show how important they are to you. In life, be careful of the words you choose and speak to one another because everyone goes through their own problems in life and it's not helpful to use words that can hurt them physically, emotionally, and mentally. It's important that we use our words to bring each other up and live in a world where positivity still exists, but instead, we live in a world where there's a lot of negativity because people are still using hurtful words to bring each other down especially through social media.

Words can kill a person with just a few sentences so please be careful of the words you choose in life because one sentence can either change you for the better or change you for the worse.
Your life your choice just be ready for the consequences.
